Meditation on medication

Discharge from the hospitalization to home care heralds a milestone for a patient’s recovery from Covid. But, it also begins a new journey that can take weeks, months and yes years. Part of the bridge from hospitalization to home care are consistency in medications that were prescribed by hospital providers. My prescriptions were written in most cases to provide for one week. The intention for writing them for a brief period as possible was to have them reviewed by a primary caregiver to determine if they would still be needed. In my situation the difficulty I had in scheduling a follow up appointment with a local provider required the intervention of my hospital discharge physician to refill my prescriptions until I could see a local provider. The out of pocket costs for my prescriptions ranged from $200 to $10 with insurance.
